our retail interior design process

Step 1: Design brief

Firstly we’ll take the time to discuss your shop interior design project and what you hope to achieve from your new space. We’ll then visit the site to get an understanding of how the space currently works and how we could transform the area to reach the goals highlighted.

Step 2: Concept design

We’ll create an initial design plan, including 3D models and floor plans as well as ideas for fabrics and furniture.

Step 3: Design development

We’ll refine the interior layout whilst considering economic, environmental and construction needs.

Step 4: Technical design

We create a fully-detailed technical construction pack as well as finishing schedules and FF&E specifications for the area - this includes joinery, sanitary and electrical requirements.

Step 5: Construction

We’ll work closely with contractors to ensure that the project is carried out to a high standard and fits the design brief. We’ll also advise on any subcontractors should we feel it’s required.

Step 6: Handover and close out

Once construction has finished, we’ll visit the site to see if any further work needs to be carried out before we handover and close out. The project will not come to a close until you are completely satisfied with the new space.

How interior design helps retailers

With e-commerce businesses booming, it’s never been more important to ensure that your retail space is enticing and offers customers an experience that they couldn’t get online. By investing in interior design, retailers can create spaces to interact with customers on a more personal level and create an immersive environment that increases the chances of customers returning. Moreover, if you’re working in a small shop, better interior design can help you maximise your space and improve traffic flow.
