Our interior design process
Whether you’re looking to start an interior design project in Poundbury, Poole or London, we can help! If you’re unfamiliar with what the interior design process involves, below is a brief summary. Please bear in mind that this process can vary depending on the scale of your project.
Preparation brief and budget
We’ll sit down with you to discuss your project and establish the budget, timescale and what you hope to achieve from the new space. We will also highlight the goals we want to reach so we can work towards meeting them.
Concept design
Our interior designers will get to work on creating visuals and 3D models; exploring various styles and finishes as well as the layout, furnishings and lighting. Once you’re happy with the design, we can move onto development.
Design development
We’ll start refining the interior layout and finishes, ensuring that we also consider the needs of the construction team.
Technical design
We’ll create a construction pack as well as finishing schedules and furniture, fixtures and equipment specifications (FF&E). This will also include details of joinery, sanitary and electrical requirements.
Construction
At this stage construction can begin. We’ll work closely with the contractors and FF&E suppliers to ensure that the work carried out is successfully completed, advising on any specialist subcontractors if we feel it is necessary.
Handover and close out
Finally, when construction has finished, we will visit the site and determine whether any further work needs to be carried out in order to fulfil the brief. Once both ourselves and the client are happy, we will handover and the project will close.
