Lux Dental, Leicestershire

The brief for Lux Dental was to transform an empty shell into a contemporary dental practice that challenged conventional expectations of healthcare interiors through a sophisticated, hospitality-led approach. KTM Design was appointed to develop the interior architecture and space planning from scratch, creating a practice that balanced the technical requirements of modern dentistry with the elegance and refinement of a boutique hotel.

A key objective was to alleviate the anxiety often associated with dental appointments by creating a serene and beautifully considered atmosphere that promoted comfort and confidence throughout the patient journey.

One of the most distinctive aspects of the design was the decision to eliminate the conventional reception desk and formal waiting room. Instead, patients are welcomed into a series of thoughtfully arranged seating areas positioned throughout the practice, allowing them the freedom to choose where they feel most comfortable.
